1. Introduction

Youbopto’s Polarization-Maintained EDFA is a miniaturized, high output power, high gain, and linear polarized, pulsed amplifier. Mechanical size is only 114 * 80 * 26mm. The product can be used in optical signal applications including OTDR, Raman-OTDR, Brillouin-OTDR fiber optic sensing systems or high-speed optical fiber communication systems.

Built-in microprocessor (MCU) communicates external host with controller through the RS-232 interface, completes real-time monitoring and configuring parameters of input / output optical power, and temperature of the pump laser and other key information. The EDFA provides default factory configuration parameters based on the specific order or customer requirements.
